"Very well. Then we can leave whenever it is most convenient for you. In the meantime, please accompany back to the inn," he said, not responding to the jibe.

"It's easier to stay in contact that way. You can have the bed if you'd like. Wouldn't you rather keep an eye on me in case I don't squealing regardless so that there'll be an arrest awaiting you when you return?" Kamlong asked, standing and heading towards the door.

"I'm going slit your neck when you're sleeping," said Peishei, painfully serious. "Just you wait. That'll show you for throwing threads around like you own everybody." Regardless, the pirate rose and also left the room, shoving in front of the general when the other man opened the door. Kamlong merely followed wordlessly, worsening the pirate's disposition.
The Owner stopped Peishei before they reached the exit. He didn't say a thing. "I'll come back you old frog," Peishei said, eyes rolling towards the ceiling. "So save your yapping for when I come back." Peishei all but pushed the large man aside, attesting to the pirate's strength despite appearances.
Kamlong was glad Peishei couldn't call his bluff. In all honesty, with reflexes and brawling strength as good as that, he wasn't sure he could back up the argument. "Sorry for the inconvenience," he said to the Owner in passing, though it was only met with a completely disapproving frown.
"Get on with it!" Peishei hurried.
