"Yuudai!" He scolded, the exclamation pouring out with no thought. Orie looked just as stunned as he had sounded, and both Orie and Yuudai turned to regard their leader, Yuuto sucked in a calming breath.
"Dai-kun," he tried again, albeit kinder. "It's alright."
His hand lit on the younger Asai's shoulder, squeezing the firm muscle gently. An unspoken language flowed between their expressions- communication only the two of them would comprehend- and Yuuto's grim face softened marginally. His thumb swiped across Yuudai's collarbone once, twice.
"It's alright. Really." He reiterated with a little shake, knowing Yuudai would understand to what he was referring.
Pushing past his two companions, Yuuto paused between them to give Orie a sincere smile. "I'm sorry, but I must take my leave. Your services won't be needed for the rest of today."
The words were a little rushed, forced, and Yuuto's eyes a bit too wild as he tried to take in Orie's face. His hand raised as if to casually touch Orie, like he was wont to do, but with a jerky motion he instead crossed his arms inside the haori sleeves.
"Behave yourself," he reprimanded, and this was directed to his grim-faced cousin.
Then Yuuto was turning off the path, heading in a direction that seemed to lead further out from the village, rather than back toward the household.

Yuudai's words hadn't nearly impacted him as much as Yuuto's outburst. While he was unfortunately quickly becoming used to being told to not act so proper, seeing the general unruffled was something new. Privately, he took a sort of secret satisfaction in seeing the man less than composed. For all the times he aggravated Orie, it was somewhat like revenge.
He said nothing as Yuuto exchanged some sort of conversation involving more than words. It wasn't his place to comment, and he was beginning it was even his place to be there as an observer. He averted his eyes until Yuuto spoke directly to him, and even then only nodded.
When the general's hand raised, he jerked his head back, only slightly. It was an instinctual reaction, probably born from the memory of their first meeting, but it was an unfair assessment, and even he felt a little guilty for it. "Goodbye," he said, trying to make up for it. "Thank you for the tea."
He stood next to Yuudai, watching as their leader walked off. "Do I have your leave as well, sir?" he asked offhandedly, keeping his eyes ahead.

Yuuto's outburst surprised him, regretting what he said entirely more. He didn't want Yuuto to leave but knowing that he already ruined it, he nodded his head and watched his cousin walk off. Yuudai had a feeling as to where he was going but he never assumed much. Hearing Orie's question he answered inwardly: Yes, get the hell out of my face. His expression was gentle as he turned to the younger male, considering. Apparently Yuuto recognized Orie's flaws; the kid was probably raised too strictly.
Slowly, he stepped closer to Orie and stood almost eye-level. "Yuu-san is very important to me. Even though your words are polite, respectful and grateful - your actions say otherwise. So, if you hurt him in anyway - mentally or physically - I'll let you know.. I'll deal with you personally." At the moment it was an idle threat but if he had to he would act upon it. He was known to never break his word.
"Yes.. yes, you may take your leave," Yuudai smiled, contradicting the malicious feeling.

Orie was not quite the master of expressions his opponent seemed to be, so he didn't waste any effort in hiding the displeasure from his face. He did, however, take a step back, putting enough space between them so that the other man wasn't as immediately in-his-face.
"You misunderstand," he snapped, flaring. He disliked false accusations as any other man, and it was already a struggle to keep the volume down. He was not well-acquainted with Yuudai, so it would be foolish to jump in with fists raised. "I mean nothing disrespectful to Asai-sama in any of my actions.
"I was not sent here to hurt any of you, and I will only do what I was sent here for. Please do not jump to conclusions, I don't have the amiability to entertain your assumptions. If you do feel the need to 'deal' with me, sir, then I cannot stop you, but I cannot guarantee that I will be so easily outdone.
Thank you for your leave." He bowed, and turned.

"Well said," Yuudai chimed, leaning back to slowly turn in the direction of the Asai household. Perhaps he did the things he did on purpose. Maybe to test out the exterior of people and why they acted the way they did. It wasn't like he disliked or hated Orie but that didn't mean he trusted him, either. "But.. I think I would've enjoyed it more if you left out the sir, Orie-kun," he chuckled and waved his hand dismissively.
"Enjoy the rest of your day," Yuudai said in farewell, heading off to his designation.
