Sorano made a bit of an 'ick' face when Kyo spoke of Akiyama's 'game', and all that it may imply, and it became a bit more apparent at the mention of restraints. She shook her head a little bit and exhaled, since she seemed to have held her breath the whole time he was narrating.
"I'm glad it wasn't too ha--ahh?" she squinted with the approach of the hand and paper, reaching up and taking it, peering at it while he talked. She swallowed, blushing at his statement and anything that it could entail--which her mind, no doubt would be picking apart later on.
Laughing a little and brushing some of her hair behind her ear with her free hand--a thing she did often when she was anxious or embarrassed--she said lightly, "I sure hope it wasn't for the food; you might have to go see a doctor if that's the case."

Kyo smirked at Sorano's reply and he shook his head no. "For the friendship, I suppose," he figured it was because of that and that is what he told Akiyama. Now for a moment he noticed how awkward it was to be around the girl, even for himself and he slowly place the cups to his lips. He was trying very hard to avoid any more conversation even if he had a lot to say and do. Once he was finished with the tea he held the cup down away from him.
"So," he started out searching for words, "Are you prepared to leave?"

"I, uh...Yeah, I should be."
Sorano held a finger up in a 'just a second' kind of gesture, moving by and into her room to make sure. For the fifteenth time that day. It never hurt to double-check. Just a bundle of clothes and the needles, pretty much. Everything else could be improvised and gathered when needed. She walked to the edge of the room and leaned out a bit.
"Where are we going, actually?" she asked, realizing she never even bothered to find out.

"Honshu Island," Kyo said while tipping the cup over and back up with his fingers. His eyes were focused on that instead of watching the girl. "You'll find out exactly where when we get there because I believe that says more than I can." There was no way he could explain how he went about things but it was safer to know where you are instead of being told. A security system, so to speak. "Unless you wanted to go else where," he offered.

Sorano shook her head. "Anywhere is fine, now that the incarnation of pure evil is apparently emperor. Honshu Island, Shikoku, Africa, the moon...I don't mind."
She slid one of her bamboo needles out of its cloth fastener on her wrist, poking its tip a bit idly as she leaned against the frame of the door, speaking her thoughts aloud; another bad habit.
"Getting around is going to get a whole lot harder, what with that war business...And they might start just grabbing people here and there to join up and go fight. I'm sure they're at least thinking about it. All for the glory of Japan, or whatever."
She glanced over at Kyo, pressing the needle between the finger of one of her hands and the thumb of another. "Would you go, if they told you to?"

Finally, he looked up at Sorano and shrugged his shoulders. "If the place we were living in was going to be attacked I wouldn't give a second thought and would go. But if it were an attack on the 'Emperor', eh, I wouldn't give support. Something of moral value?" Kyo wasn't sure but his eyes slowly moved down to the needles. "Hm.."

"More like 'common sense', I bet," she said dryly, rolling her eyes a bit. Sorano glanced back over and looked down where Kyo was and blinked. "Oh. Ah." She fumbled the needle back into the bracer on her wrist. "Sorry. They're just--mm.." Squinting, she couldn't really think of a tactful explanation, so she shrugged.
"I learned a lot about pressure points and that sort of thing a while ago, and I used to have a lot of free time after work, so. Ah. Oh, I don't know." She suddenly looked back, curious. "Did Akiyama's arm look limp at all?"

He knew it was vital if not equipped with some type of weapon. "What do you mean?" asking about the arm, he thought back on it. He didn't recall anything on Akiyama's movements besides that they weren't all that friendly. Pressure points? Very deadly.. he reminded himself to not make Sorano mad unless he wanted to end up paralyzed.

"Aa-no, nevermind, it isn't a big deal." Sorano shook her head and smiled. She felt bad for badgering him almost the moment he got in the door. She then noted that he wasn't wearing that white scarf of his, and that he hadn't had it with him when he returned. Did he lose it..? She was going to ask about that, but figured that could easily be saved for another time.
"I'll make sure everything's all set to go," Again... "and if you need me to get you anything, please tell me. Okay?"
She smiled again, bowing her head a little as she backed into her room. The best thing she could think of was leaving the poor guy alone for a while, goodness knows he was probably a bit tired of people at the moment. Sitting down, she reached over and grabbed the cloth she had thrown aside earlier and upon inspection, she made a face. ...I forgot where I left off..

Kyo gave some few wide blinks at Sorano, confused beyond his thinking process. Very slowly did he sulk back towards the hall, setting the cup down while he surveyed the house. He would leave things here for the new owners; perhaps just to get rid of the house quicker otherwise he had the option of burning it down. He was tired but he didn't feel safe so he didn't even want to try to take a nap. Done with his rummaging through his mind he turned and slowly went to finish packing his things.
