General Information
Name: Nakamura Omi Gender: Male Age/Birthday: 23; December 31st. Side: Japan Anti-shogunate
Appearance Information
Height: About 182 cm. Weight: 68 kg. Hair: Long, almost hair that is chopped at an odd angle at his shoulders, coming down in uneven tresses. When doing business, Omi pulls it up into a into a hair tie as to not be in the way. Eyes: A bright brown with accents of red and yellow giving omniscient depth to them. In certain lights, his eyes look completely golden; in lack of light, a dark brown-red hue. They are typically narrowed in a placid manner (not in a hostile one) and have two dark eyebrows slanting over them. Face: A triangular jaw and dark eyes give him a mien of secrecy. An angular face that can be compared to the stiffness of a hawk. Skin Color: He is normally well exposed to the sun, so instead of the normal Japanese pale – he has an average hint of hue in his skin. Nothing dark and nothing pale. Form: A build that instigates his nature as a ninja, not meant to be incredibly muscular or bulky, but instead slender long cords of muscle that reflect speed and stealth in his arms and legs. He lacks baby fat and has particularly boney shoulders and back end. Clothes: In average attire, he likes to choose dark colors (dark red, blues and greens). Normally an outer cotton haori, obi and hakama; loose clothes to hide weapons easily. There is no particular attire for espionage, only that to blend in. Disguises of guards, nobles, etcetera. As well as colors to blend in with the environment or city – such as greens, browns and grays. Hands: His hands in themselves have very deep calluses and various scars and marks from almost a lifetime of training with weapons. Two dark white lines are marred on the padding of his fingers and palms from a bold grab of an enemy’s katana before it hitting Omi in the face. His hands, at the time, had the armor of the Shuko claws, but the blade still pierced through and damaged the muscles in his left hand, making it hard for him to move it certain ways. Omi is ambidextrous, but tends to prefer his left hand.
Battle Information
Profession: Ninja Chûnin (Middle Ninja) under Jônin (High Ninja) - Ryozo Shimizu. He is a part of a group of Ninja under the loyalty of Takahashi. The group if made up of seven skilled Ninjas – one Jônin named Ryozo Shimizu, two Chûnin made up of Daiki Kimura and Nakamura Omi and four Genin that make up the lower ranks of the structured group. Weapon: His favorite weapon is the Shuko (Hand Claws). A list of easily concealable weapons include the Bo (Basically a Long Stick), Shuriken (Throwing Blades), Kunai (Utility Knives) and occasionally Bows and Arrows. And of course his Ninja-ken – sword that is smaller than a Katana but larger than a Wakizashi. Style: The offensive approach. He believes that a good offensive is the best defensive. Quickly get to the point of the battle before making a quick escape. Omi has an abnormal upper body strength which is a good attribute to his Shuko tactics. After he is through with his assigned victims, the corpse has been noted to look as though it had been ‘maimed by a bear’, and the identification of the body is almost unrecognizable. His ability with throwing blades is on the mark – even from a distance he has great precision. His abilities along the lines of ‘sword’ fighting are completely – ‘stab and kill’ as quickly as possible; though, his stabbing and kill tactics are rather good in themselves, his sword skills in general are still greatly undeveloped. He chooses to only use a sword when completely necessary. His eye for aim goes well with his shooting skills as well, though like the sword – he doesn’t use a bow often. Thoughts on Battle: Omi believes it to be a very necessary thing, maybe not a very positive thing but needed. Since this is a country that lacks a good means of communication, that the split and torn country needs to be rebuilt. He believes that his purpose for battle is a rightful cause of patriotism for his country.
Misc. Information
Talents: He is really quite strong, has a good eye for aim and is adept at climbing (even up vertical walls), has no fear of heights and is rather flexible. Can devise complex arrays of plans and strategies and has a photographic memory. He can play the flute, is literate and somewhat artistic. Inabilities: Omi gets motion sickness easily, and does not like extremely warm temperatures. He also very stubborn and his moods unreadable. Does not have a good grasp of what ‘peace’ is and tends to take the quickest and most dangerous route in situations. Has a high risk capacity judgment. General Personality: Omi is a man of ambition, one that will come up with a solution no matter what the situation and has the perseverance to achieve his goals, no matter how crazy or dangerous it is. One would say he has a rather quiet exterior, though when one knows his true self, they would say he is far from it. When alone, he speaks to himself constantly, speaking from a higher self to settle his conflicting and hard to follow thoughts. Omi is also well remembered as making underlining jokes and his intentions unclear – almost always speaking with words that have alternate meaning. His anger is one that sparks very very seldom, as he is always calm and semi-courteous. His views on war are rather obscured, as he shows no remorse for killing under the order of an anti-shogunate lord, and yet he is oddly patriotic in the preservation of family honor and code. He feels that the world can never be balanced and will forever be in war, and has no motivation along the lines of his Lord, but instead that he owes his loyalty to his comrades and <i>Jônin</i>, and that that is his purpose for living.
Historical Background
General History: Omi came from the humble beginnings of living in a poor fisherman village with his dying father. In the last few week of his life, Nakamura Noa sent Omi to the province of Iga to live with his uncle in hopes that he would find a better life there. Omi never saw his father again, not even his grave - to this day. Iga, sure enough, had just been overcome by war and poverty, though Omi’s uncle was kind enough to take him in. Nakamura Ruko lived well in the house of a kind Daimyo lord who accepted Omi into his home as well.
Though not known to Omi’s knowledge until the age of 9, was that his uncle was the leader of a Ninja group under the Daimyo. The kind Daimyo was one of the central families involved in the conflict of the war with the other province of Kôga, and used his group of Ninjas as a tool in this war. Omi was adopted into this family costume of assassination and espionage to become a Ninja himself. At the age of 16, the house of the Daimyo was completely burned to the ground and the family crumbled with the province of Kôga victorious. Omi had escaped but his uncle and comrades did not.
He traveled for less than a year as a rogue to then find loyalty under the family of Takahashi as a Ninja. He was chosen as a Chûnin by Ryozo not over a year after he submitted loyalty to the Takahashi family.
