( This took place before the assassination )
It was a few minutes after escaping the government official's supervisor - he had bickered about the way things were being ruined and wanted a change now. And no matter what how many times he explained that he had to console someone about the issue before changing everything, it just didn't matter. His annoyance finally bottled up and he ordered the supervisor to leave immediately and that he would contact him when he had the proper information. Soon his right hand went up to his temple and he rubbed it in agitation. He finally made his way to the Imperial garden. His eyes adjusted to the lighting considering the sun was high in the sky. The flowers illuminated a peaceful feeling. He would stay here until he felt better.
Spotting one of the benches he moved to sit down on the left end. It took seconds before he sighed and allowed himself to lie down so his gaze was facing the sky. With the sun he moved his right sleeve up and over his eyes, the fabric of his attire shadowing his face from the sun's rays. His eyes closed, putting a block to all the thoughts about his country for the second. The problems stalked him at night; he just needed a hour break at the most. However, he didn't plan on letting his mind turn to a blank stature - meaning he had dozed off.

He had snatched her up the moment she had stepped back into the palace. The young woman was trouble and she shouldn’t be out and about like she was so fond of doing. He disliked her but she was not to be harmed, being the Prince’s fiancée and all.
“You are not to leave the palace anymore Reitosuru-san, it is too dangerous for you to be out there.” Yanking on her arm, painfully on purpose, he drug her out to the place he knew she liked the most.
His dark eyes scanned the garden and upon not seeing anyone he finally took control of the situation. Pinching his grip a little tighter he then threw her down so that she hit the ground. “Are you out of your mind? Are you so intent upon proving yourself that you wish to get yourself killed? You are the Prince’s fiancée and you should act as such. If I catch you, or even hear of you leaving the palace again you shall be confined to your quarters and not allowed to leave for any reason, do I make myself clear?”
He had been shouting a bit louder then he should, but with it being vacant it really didn’t matter. This young woman had trouble listening and there were several lessons he wanted to teach her, but those would be for a later date. Clenching his hands into fists at his sides he paced a few steps away from her and watched her collect herself.

Her eyes had instantly closed off and she had given him a warning glare that just bounced right off of his haughty exterior. Not allowed to leave the palace? What was he thinking and why? Dangerous, pssh she snorted at that thought. It wasn’t any more dangerous out there then it was in here anymore. Sometimes even worse in here, with all the poisons and things. Something she knew a great deal about.
When he had tossed her she hit the ground hard and let out a soft cry of pain, her elbow instantly smarting. He fancied himself such an authority, she hated him so much. He always treated her like she was a damn brood mare, which was one of the reasons she despised her fate so much.
Standing up she dusted herself off, trying to regain some composure before she tore into him. “Oh perfectly clear. I am nothing more then a receptacle for the prince’s seed and hopefully, because my life depends on it, a child as well. I am not a human being who thinks and lives! You are a disease…” and you need to be cleansed. But she wouldn’t say that, she was a part of the faction and did not need to be giving such things away.

Voices started to flood his head, yet this time around it wasn't from the puzzled dream. Rather it came from the garden. His eyes opened slowly to stare at the seam of his sleeve before sitting up to turn his head. Someone had been yelling about something, however, that was nothing new. His eyes averted to the two figures, the lids of his eyes closing and opening. He was exhausted and worn out and with a fight going about it helped nothing. Standing, he approached the two with a hint of malice in his eyes. Akihito wasn't upset or angry, but he had just woken up from the little rest he grasped. That alone made him feel down.
"What's this?" he spoke up, inquiring about the fight that took place. He even caught on the name calling and labeling. Carefully he rested his arms to his side to raise his right brow to Akiyama. If anyone had an explanation for the fighting, it would be the Shogunate leader.

How dare the little girl dare to talk back to him like that! The only thing that saved her from the resounding backhand to the face and subsequent beating was the fact that His Highness the Prince seemed to materialize out of nowhere. Reitosuru Yuki was only good for one thing, she was useless otherwise. Yes she was a beautiful young lady, which was fortunate for the children that her and the Prince would produce, but other then that she didn’t matter.
“I was reprimanding Reitosuru-san for her actions this past week. She has been far from chaste. Being seen talking with some foreigner on a few occasions and then traipsing about, happy as you please, in the market place when things are becoming a bit tense.” His dark gaze swept to the other males eyes and he stood up straighter.
He was a good deal taller then the Prince and he often used his intimidating height to get others to back down. This occasion was no exception. Now the young lady had made him look a fool in front of Akihito, that was highly punishable. He would enjoy making her feel very sorry for causing him to look bad, with her frail body and pretty looks. As long as the bruises were underneath her clothing it wouldn’t matter what he did to her, short of breaking something. Breaking her spirit would be the best idea. All she needed to be, as she put so eloquently, was a receptacle for the Prince.

Her head tilted at a haughty angle and she refused to look at either of them. If she looked at the Shogun she would want to launch herself at him, if she looked at her Prince she would want to plead with him. Neither of these options was a good idea.
She was terribly afraid of the Shogun, even as much as she hated him. He had hurt her before, and sometimes he looked at her like he wanted to do other things to her, but she knew he wouldn’t for fear of conceiving a child with her. That and she was still a virgin and had to be till she was married, one more good reason she was leery of the idea of marriage. At least Akihito had shown up just on time, saved her from a beating most severe, but she couldn’t exactly thank him. Not only would that make Kisho want to hurt her more, but that would make her seem weak and she refused to let that happen.
“It is nothing more then it seems to be.” Maybe that would be enough, because it was nothing more then exactly what it seemed. She was being abused, again, by the Shogun. Not waiting around for either of them to say anything to her she turned on her heel, flashing the Prince an unreadable look, and ran out of the gardens as fast as her legs could take her.

Akihito was about to say something to Yuki but she ran off so quickly all that he had the chance to fit in with a step forward. She seemed upset around Akiyama and he wondered why. Was it because the Shogunate leader didn't quite exactly agree with the girl's actions? Turning his head he faced Akiyama with a light smile, though his eyes still looked wary. "It's all right, she can do as she pleases. I am sure she knows the consequences for leaving the palace but being confided to one area can get tiring," he spoke quietly, knowing how it felt to be restricted to the palace. It was boring and stressful - always working.
Lifting his right hand he placed the palm to his face to softly rub the flesh in irritation. The exhaustion just wouldn't leave his body and with all of the events he had to accomplish something at all times, when he just wanted a break from anything. To disappear, so to speak. Allowing his gaze to linger to the Shogunate's face, his irises catching the glow of the sun. "Thank you. I appreciate you taking time to take care of Yuki.."

“You would know all about that, Prince Akihito. Being confided to one spot may not be fun but it is for her own good. She is entirely too willful and has been seen with a foreigner on more then one occasion now. It is best she doesn’t leave here.” While he wasn’t trying to overrule anyone’s authority it was obvious what he said was going to be followed through. Kisho did not play around and always made sure his words were followed to a T. He liked how the Prince was wary around him, it made him grin; a flash of white teeth in his dark face that was predatory and not friendly at all.
Keeping the smile he nodded and took several steps closer to the young and oh so pretty Prince of Japan. “Someone needs to keep that young woman under thumb. No one better then myself. You look tired; I apologize if we woke you. I was here speaking to someone and about to leave, and then I saw her come back inside.” He reached out and rubbed a calloused thumb over Aki’s soft cheek and then withdrew it just as quickly.
He did lust after the Prince but it would not do to touch him more here and now. Maybe when he got him alone Kisho could see just how fearful he made the young man. Loom over him and touch him with his large hands all over that small body. How lovely, he thought, the Prince would look trussed up and on his bed. Maybe even next to his pretty fiancée. It had been awhile and Kisho was feeling rather excited at these ideas.
“If there is nothing else that you require of me I shall be on my way. I have several things to go over before I may even dine tonight.” The tone of his voice had changed; it took on a darker heavier timbre. He seemed to take no notice of this though.

"A foreigner? If I had that opportunity to learn of another world, I'd take it. I am sure it means nothing, it's curiosity that brings her back." He wasn't sure why he spoke on the girl's behalf, but he thought of the justification. If there was an opportunity to talk to someone beyond the border's of Japan, he would harness it. Akihito was raised to see the entire out comes and not just focus on one just because it was different. The ideal was for change, if everything stayed the same it would become dull and boring. As his cheek was thumbed his eye closed before it opened back up so that he could give the man a wider smile.
Suddenly his expression turned serious when he spoke of Yuki and his head lifted slightly in defiance to the shogunate. "She's old enough to be about, you know? I put my faith in her. If I have suspicions I'll question her myself. You are to focus on the more important things, like the country's future. I'll have an Imperial unit with her at all times," his voice was bold, showing he didn't want any questions about it. "I always do appreciate your help but this time around, with everything going on, she needs to see it for herself. Being locked in will only lock ignorance to what she thinks the outside is."
He didn't bring up the fact that he was exhausted or tired, instead he nodded his head and turned to look at the flowers. Their hues almost blinded him, but that was because of the direction of the sun. Snapping out of his thoughts he focused back on Akiyama. Hearing the other's voice darken made him wonder about those several things. "The things I do are minimal, nothing for show. I imagine it would be more exciting with company but I can always request a servant for that."

The Prince could be so open-minded, such a fool really. He had such large ideals and his head was in the clouds. He almost shook his head but didn’t, and just nodded like he was agreeing, when he really wasn’t. Foolish young Prince, will you ever really learn? No, no you never really will, which is good for me. Kisho mused while the Prince talked on and his eyes turned sharp.
“Well, Prince Akihito, if you put your faith in her then I suppose there are no worries now are there?” His voice was honeyed and he licked his lips like he had tasted something delectable, maybe he had. Akihito really was a fool, trusting that young woman could be anyone’s downfall, he heard plenty of rumors about the things she had done only he could not get any proof, the moment he caught her though she would be his. A prisoner and a traitor he would teach her the hardest of lessons. What the young woman was doing could mess with the future of the country, she was too slippery and talked to people she shouldn’t, but again his thoughts were to himself, he would still do what he needed to do regardless, he just would not tell Aki about it. “Yes, of course Prince Akihito, you are correct. I should have seen your wisdom earlier.”
Was he speaking of wanting his company? If Kisho were alone with the Prince he would end up doing things with him. He highly doubted the young man could push him away, even if he wanted to. Leaning down he spoke softly and dangerously in Aki’s ear. “You wish to have company hmm? What type of company?”

"Company, to talk with," he said quietly while the other had leaned down near to his ear. Akiyama was rather close to him and when he turned his head he could hear the shogun's breathing. Yes, it was a measurably dangerous closeness. It didn't frighten him - yet he wasn't too used to it. "I have to review papers, and if approved, seal them," Akihito mentioned the work was minimal. But he had to do what he had to do. "You're welcome to join me; however, knowing you have things to do as well I can request one of my servants."
He went about his way by taking a step back and turning to the side so he was no longer facing the shogun. Giving up on the subject of Yuki, he shook his head. Something didn't seem right. Everything was out of place, anyways. Smiling a little he finally turned to leave, "Take care of yourself."

A hand snaked out rather quickly and wrapped itself around the Prince’s arm, just above his elbow and pulled him back around to face Kisho. He let go soon after that but the impression of his fingers could still be felt, and it had been the barest show of his strength. “No, the things I have to do can wait. Besides we should have more time to talk together, there really isn’t enough of that.”
Smiling predatorily down at the Prince he waved his hand. “So lead on and I shall follow you. I am perfectly capable of speech and some of the things I need to do require writing anyway. I should be able to do that with you while we talk.” Yes, talk, and maybe more. He saw nothing wrong with doing what his loins wanted him to do, just as long as it was behind doors and no one found out. He doubted the Prince would go talking about it anyway.

The hand caught him off guard, noticing he was facing the shogunate again he gave the other a confused smile. Akiyama's actions were questionable; it almost seemed like a rule under the palace to not come into physical contact. Like it was a polite thing to do. The other's actions confused him greatly but he shrugged his feelings off and gave a nod. "Wonderful," his smile was still there as he turned back around.
Akihito started to lead Kisho into the palace and down the hall. Once he reached the furthest door to the left, he reached his hands out to slide it open. The room was rather large with a mid-sized table filled with papers. It was also nicely decorated with gold and red paintings. His favorite room, although it usually was a stressful place to work.

He had seen this room before, it was nice. though last time he saw it he was alone and had been looking for something. It was such a wonderful thing when no one questioned your authority, he got away with things no one else ever could, except maybe the Prince, but really these things were not anything that Akihito would be involved in.
Letting Aki step in a bit more, Kisho turned around and shut the door behind them with an audible click. Now he was alone with the young, frail and oh so pretty Prince, and the thought caused warm things to pool low in his belly. He only wanted one thing out of this.
"Is there a chair that I may sit in on the opposite side of the desk? What about paper and a quill to write with?" Keeping it about business and simple was the best way to start, but inside he was rubbing his hands together.

"Of course," Akihito said with a softer smile. He moved over to one of the arranged chairs and set it on the opposite of the desk. Then he went around to one of the drawers, removing two quills and an ink bottle. He set them down in the center of the desk and glanced up to the shogunate. "This room almost has every tedious working material," he sounded somewhat annoyed with that fact. Once he was all done rearranging the desk for Akiyama's request, Akihito took his own seat while pulling the first set of papers out to start on the work.
"So, what shall we discuss?"
