((So I am bored lol. I am gonna play around with Yuki a bit. Have her leave the palace and possibly get away from her guards. I have no idea where I will have her eventually go or what is going to happen but I need some more to do lmao. Anyone can join at any point in time. This will probably migrate over several boards as I have her go wherever. Go ahead and make suggestions or even force my hand on where she goes if you wish. Whether anyone joins or not I will update this at least once a day. *shuts up now*))
It had been a little over two weeks since she had barely escaped what could have been her death, or worse, at the hands of the Shogun. He had caught her spying on him and the prince but he had never caught her. Inside she felt almost sorry for Akihito, it was obvious from what she had seen, that he had no choice in the matter of what had been done to him...and now he was gone.
Rumors were flying around about why he was gone. They became more wild by the hour and she was tired of hearing about it. With being his fiancee she got bombarded by all the useless court officials with questions and sympathy. Supposedly he was dead though, killed by some mysterious assassin...but his body had not yet been found. So then there were the rumors that the Chinese had kidnapped him instead of having him killed and were going to use him for something, the rumors on that one were somewhat ridiculous.
Yuki though, she just could not take it anymore. Tired of fake smiles and words, tired of being locked up in her rooms, she had to get out of here! So she was packing a small bag of things, stuff she may or may not need on her trip. No real plans of where she was going though, she just needed to be out. Akiyama hated her and wanted her dead...the people here had no love for her...her fiancee was gone, maybe for good. She loved her country but right now she wasn't sure if being in it was the best of ideas, with Akihito gone Akiyama could do what he wished with her and that was not a pleasing prospect.
Finally finishing with the packing her crimson eyes, demons eyes, peered about her room before she shed her clothing for the lighter, darker and less inhibiting outfit from two weeks past.
Now she just had to wait, there were too many people milling about for her to leave just yet.

((I guess I'll play with you then! We are on the same side, after all.))
His duties had taken him to the Capital City. Frankly, he didn't like this place much. The air, the atmosphere, and even the people around here were too stuffy for his tastes. He preferred the open fields and mountain backdrops of the more rural areas, but he had no other choice. He had to report on the status of his incomplete mission after all, regardless of how much he dreaded it.
Thankfully, though, fortune had taken some pity on him. After the attempted assasination and the scuffle with that psychopathic busybody in Kyushu, there had bee no other bumps in the road to Edo. That, at least, had given him some time to calm down and clear his mind of frustration, weighing the words he would say carefully in his mind before he reported it. He knew that their leader was a great man, he just hoped he was a merciful one too.
A large building crossed his vision, and Orie looked up to see the top of the Imperial Palace peeking over the tall stone walls that encompassed it. It was awe-inspiring, that was for sure, and he stopped in his path for a moment just to stare. He had been to Edo once to receive his orders, but he left too hastily to really take many observations. Prior to that, the city was just a blur to him. This was the first time he really had the chance to look.
So this is where their enemy lay - just a small and finite distance between them. How deceptive.

((Woo thanks ^^.))
After waiting several hours she finally stood back up. She had literally been sitting on her bed for all that time. Though it was not with inactivity, she was making a small amount of a potent poison and had coated several darts with it, while wearing gloves of course, she didn't want to stick herself and end up unconscious for half a day. These darts were for her wonderful and vigilant guards, right outside her doors. Akiyama had ordered them to remain there and stop her from leaving, ever. Though he told no one else this of course.
What made her laugh, she mused, was that everyone believed her love for gardening and herbs to be a girly thing. It was only half true. She could make some of the most lethal poisons known to man and new the proper dosages to cause a 100 or 300 pound man to just go into a light slumber. This was not the thing she planned for her guards. Two were to be knocked out, one was to be killed. Knocking on her own door she let them open it and stuck the first two rather easily, the third one proved to be a hassle. He yelled at her and chased her into her rooms, snatching her up by her long hair and dangling her off the floor.
This wasn't supposed to happen, she shrieked and kicked him in the jaw. Struggling back and forth for several minutes she noticed they were near her open balcony and somehow managed to get him out there. Again they struggled and she finally got him, with the dart to his eye. A loud scream before he tipped backward and fell from her balcony down to the ground below...how was she going to explain that?
She had almost fallen herself, and dangled for a little bit trying to regain her holding on the railing, finally pulling herself up and flipping her hair out of the way to look down. Oh..that was just messy.

((No problem.))
.....Uh.
Well he hadn't expected something like that, surely. Orie blinked a few times, looking around for good measure. The people around him, though, were obviously too preoccupied with themselves to have noticed anything amiss, let alone to see somebody fall down from one of the top floors of the palace. He almost wondered if it had just been his mind concocting illusions because of stress, or something similar, except that when he looked back, the woman was still standing on the balcony.
"Excuse me," he said, trying at least to inform the men at the door about what he had just seen. The fellow looked down at him from where he stood and merely sniffed his nose higher into the air. So much for conversation. A little indignant, but not about to start a brawl right in the street with an imperial guard, Orie stepped away again, craning his neck to look upward. He supposed it wasn't his business, but morbid fascination did keep him from leaving.

There was no way she could get down there and clean up that mess before someone found it. But she already had the perfect excuse. He had tried to force himself upon her and she had fought back, as she was to remain a virgin till marriage, and they ende dup out here where he...unfortunately, fell to his demise, almost taking her with him. A rather nasty looking smile slipped upon her dainty features as she surveyed the wreckage that had been one of her guards.
While smiling that way she saw the younger man looking up and her mouth opened in surprise. Had he seen exactly what had happened? She could not make out his face well enough and wished she could go down there. If he saw she would have to try and silence him as well, unless he would keep quiet...she didnt know really.
Letting him know that she saw him may be a good idea though and she gave a slight wave. Perhaps if he thought she would do the same to him she wouldnt have to threaten him, then again he could want to turn her in. Ahhh! Too many incomplete thoughts and possibilities. She ran back into her room and grabbed up the bag, it was now or never and she would find him on her way out.
Before she walked out she made sure to put a mask over her face to stop her from being recognized, her hair was in a braind and that was stuffed down the back of her outfit.

Orie started, taking a step back in surprise, and almost bumped into a passing cart of wares. He bowed his head in a quick apology and turned around again. Was she...waving at him? No one else on the street was facing the same direction, further confirming his suspicions. Whatever reason she had, he didn't want to involve himself with a person like that. It was just more complications he could do without.
He turned briskly and began to walk away. It wasn't as if he was going to tell anybody (as if he'd ever help anybody in the Imperial Palace anyway), so he hoped she would just leave him alone.

Running down the long flights of stairs was, for once, exhilarating. Mostly because she could actually run in the outfit she was wearing and not hobble or trip. People tried to stop her but she just got easily out of the way, they too were not used to someone running around the palace. Silently she laughed at their incredulous expressions but kept her head down, many of them may recognize her eyes, she took care to hide her chest and figure but the color of her eyes was impossible to camouflage.
It took her all of, maybe, five minutes to leave the palace. The front door guards shouted at her and one tried to give chase but she eluded them as well. She was a great deal smaller and lighter then they were.
While he was chasing her though she potted her quarry and ran up behind him grabbing one of his arms and pulling him, rather forcefully, along with her. Breath coming out with a sharp hiss..."Do not struggle or it will begin to hurt." Then she fixed him with her crimson eyes and tugged once more as she started to try and lead him off with her.

Did he have some sort of sign that said, "Sure, manhandle me, I'm weak!" on his back or something? First that brat in Kyushu, and now even this palace girl?! Orie was possessed of some patience, but this was more than a little damaging to his pride. He let her lead them around a corner and into a less occupied street. After all, he didn't want to get caught and have people jumping to conclusions about his involvement with her.
Once they were clear, however, he yanked his arm out of her grasp and stopped walking. "Don't tell me what to do, Miss," he bit out, "I don't care who you are, but you haven't really got the standing to go around threatening me."

Her eyes narrowed and she lifted her hood up enough, since they were alone, that her face could be seen. Got the standing? Ugh what was it with everyone and their damned preoccupations with such things. Her fists clenched and she just barely held herself back from punching him in the face, the red of her eyes showing just how angry she was getting.
"Standing doesn't matter when you can kill with a simple puncturing of the skin. And as you saw..." she was referring to the balcony incident that much was certain "...I do not give a care to my standing, which is probably higher then yours anyway."
The last part had come out with something like a haughty huff and she took a few steps back from him, one hand hidden behind her back, the other settled upon a slightly curved hip. "Now, who are you? Also, you will not tell anyone what you saw, is that understandable?" She spoke like she was used to giving orders and having them followed. Looking at him though she could have sworn she had seen him somewhere before, he just looked so familiar.

"Standing," Orie clarified, none too impressed with the high horse this woman seemed to be standing on, "has nothing to do with social rank, you understand. It's whether or not you have the right to be commanding everyone you see please." He checked himself over to make sure he hadn't dropped an arrow or anything of importance while being hustled away in such a hurry, and looked back at Yuki when he was done. "In which, you don't," he added simply.
"You speak like you're the only person here who can kill a person," he stated. "I don't care who you choose to kill in the palace; it is of no importance to me. Likewise, who I am is of no importance to you." He also took a step back, increasing the space between them. This sort of person - he wanted to get away from her as soon as possible. They were difficult people to deal with, with more than enough ego to cause irritation.
"I will tell whoever I see fit, regardless. You can try to stop me, but I can't guarantee you'll succeed." His commander would probably want to know this information anyway - that there was a madwoman in Edo killing off palace guards. It was amusing, if not important. She obviously knew how to defend herself, but judging from the way she looked and her overbearing confidence, it was most likely field experience that she lacked.

Ok now she may have gotten in over her head. Used to dealing with people who were intimidated by her personality and fire...which this person obviously wasn't. She supposed honesty may work, either way she could not have him telling anyone what she had done, if Akiyama found out he would no longer wait to give her the punishment he thought she deserved...the thought made her shudder.
"Please do not tell anyone. If Aki...the Shogun finds out he will surely skin me alive, or worse." She took a deep breath and calmed her nerves, foolish of her to think he was not dangerous, probably more then she was. "He was the one who locked me in my rooms to begin with, shortly after he found out about my fiance's assassination."
Her hands both went slack at her sides and she looked back and forth, almost seeming panicky. "The last thing I need to do is remain around, if Akihito is dead then I am useless and therefore a new toy for the Shogun." Talking too much, for once she was almost nonstop...it was nervousness, she had no idea who he was, what if he loved the Shogun...she would be dead for sure.

"Aki...hito?" repeated Orie, looking at her face. He couldn't tell if she was lying though, and felt somewhat at a loss of words. If she was referring to the person he thought she meant, this would be awkward. 'Oh don't worry, the prince isn't dead because I was the one that tried to assasinate him' would probably not fare well. "As in, the prince?"

She stopped moving and just looked at him funny, "Well of course I mean the prince, there isn't anyone else around here, that I know of, with the same name." Now she was even more curious and she had been about to leave a moment before.
"I have been betrothed to the prince since I was born. Do you know anything about what may have happened to him? If you do please let me know!" Her hands were on the front of his outfit and she looked into his eyes pleadingly. Not just because it would save her life if he was alive, but she had actually started to see the real Akihito and hoped he wasn't gone.

"Well, not really," he lied, gently extracting himself from her grip. As if he was going to tell the fiancee exactly who was responsible for her husband-to-be's disappearance. He kept his eyes on everything other than the girl - he didn't lie to people's faces well. "I was just surprised that the prince's fiance would go around pushing people off balconies and running into the street."

Huffing she crossed her arms over her chest and fought off glaring at him. "I didn't push him off, if you couldn't tell I nearly went with him. He just tripped and fell back wards over it." Though she helped steer him that way and helped him to trip that didn't matter. Didn't she just tell him why she was here and not up there? Did all males go deaf when it came to speaking with women anymore?
"I am here because to remain there would be foolish. I might as well waltz right into the Shogun's arms and wait for him to do what I know he wants to." Her voice went dark and her eyes held a deep seated hatred for the one she was speaking of. Though this brought up another question...where exactly was she going to go? She knew how to play political games, knew all about poisons and things such as that...but knew nothing about a real battlefield. If she wasn't careful that was where she could end up.
