He made no comment to the female. It was up to her to believe he was Prince or not, however, it was up to him to somehow prove that. Yet with the lack of resources his status remained questionable, even to himself. While passing through the town he ignored the citizens, not because they were behaving negatively, rather he saw not looking at them a way of respect. If he was their enemy, he would not force that nature upon innocent people. Though he was somewhat thankful when Yulin spoke up, hoping there was good in these people after all.
"I admire the courage and honor you have for your country," he left it at that.

"Courage and honor my foot," she shot back, right after the words were out of his mouth. She rolled her eyes, poking him between the shoulderblades for good measure. "I just hate gossips and brats. I won't have the Japanese go looking down on us just because our old ladies and kids are annoying." They reached the border of the camp quickly, since it wasn't situated that far. The guards on duty nodded their heads and let her pass, casting looks over their shoulders in curiosity.

After being poked he shook his head from left to right. "It's not my place, my apologies," Akihito really had no right to judge others. He had spoken too soon on Yulin's behalf. He would not make the same mistake twice. Although when they came to the camp he suddenly alerted himself to take in every measurement of the area. The military? So, this explained the girl's unique attire.

Yulin watched as Akihito's attention focused, smirking to herself as he made great effort to take in all he could about their army. She didn't mind. After all, she doubted he would be getting out of here to leak information any time soon. "Like what you see?" she teased, ushering him to go a little faster. When she reached the central area, only Rie Chou was there with a couple of his new recruits.
"Old geezer!" she called, waving cheerily when the older man all but jumped and turned around furiously.
He stalked towards her, despite the quiet protests of his soldierse, ringsword in hand and aimed at her face. "I told you not to call me that, you goddamn wo-...who's this? A spy?" He lowered the weapon, staring at Akihito as Yulin called two soldiers to relieve her of the weapons in her possession. His face looked ominous.
"Relax, hothead," she laughed, looking past him at the otherwise empty clearing. "Where's Boya?"
"He's helping a few of the slow learners to catch on," said Rie Chou, without looking away. He frowned, pointing his blade at the prince's throat. "What is your business here!" he boomed.

His eyes shifted to General Rie in full alert status. The lids of his eyes barely moved when the blade was appointed at his throat. He would try his best to not show an inch of fear or weakness. Not because of pride but to be strong for his country. Akihito's expression melded into a firm stature, "I am here to negotiate with Emperor KamYing." He said the same thing to Rie of what he told to Yulin, yet this time he left out the smaller fractions that he gave to the girl. Lightly his eyes peered down to the blade and back up again.

"Don't be so rash!" scolded Yulin, reaching forward to swat the blade away. Rie's expression did not lighten, but he looked at his fellow general and lowered the sword, the rings clanking against the weathered metal when the tip hit the ground.
"He looks suspicious!" argued Rie unhappily.

"Who does?" said a third voice. "A soldier informed me you returned with a stranger in tow," continued Kamlong, stepping into place beside Rie Chou. His attention rested on Akihito, brows raising, but he didn't say anything other than that.

His eyes followed Rie and then to Yulin, listening on the disagreement before he noticed another presence. Akihito's gaze fell on Sze and his eyes blinked softly before he bowed his head in greeting. Each new face resembled almost the same uniform and to the other soldiers they were all but plain. He truly had no say, yet it would be rude not introduce himself. "Koyada Akihito," he said quietly in introduction.

"Koyada Akihito?" repeated Kamlong slowly, eyes falling to the side. The name was familiar. Where had he heard it before...? "Koyada Akihito," he asked, remembering the sparse letters Kamying sent him, that nowadays were unfortunately becoming more propaganda than any sort of real conversation between kin, "Like...the Japanese prince?"
Rie Chou turned to him with a confused frown. "How do you know that?"
"Oh, ah...word of mouth," Kamlong lied with a smile, brushing the topic off with a wave, "I heard some export merchants talk about it. Surely, this can't be the same man, though."

"You have your doubts, too?" he wasn't trying to mock him; he just wanted to know what the doubts were in a sense so he could resolve the doubts with information. If he stepped forward he knew they might take it as offense, so he tried to stay still. "I am sorry I have no written proof or marksmanship from the Imperial family. It was left behind," Akihito's eyes were focused on Sze's face. Of course the military had to be informed about public relations. Why wouldn't it?

"Of course we have our doubts," scoffed Yulin, still facing his back. The three generals cornered him between them, which was why he still remained unbound. "Only an idiot would believe that any well-dressed boy stumbling on to our docks would be the Japanese prince. 'Tragic loss of your men', you said, but that's quite a convenient sob story, isn't it?"

"You should know yourself that it would be foolish of us to believe you," continued Kamlong, crossing his arms. "Our emperor is the most important person in our nation, we cannot bring just any body who claims they have a title to see him."

Akihito took no offense to the way they cornered him. Every precaution had to be considered with an enemy - which to that he was, or perhaps a liar who wanted to get close to the emperor for any reason. Wondering eyes settled on Sze's gaze, staring at the arch of the pupil which curved under the iris. He could not judge from right or wrong. No, the assassin was right - it was wrong to play the role of a greater being. Yet the natural rule was to speak for all.
"I am of no harm to your emperor. Which is why I am willing to take an alternative route - a chance to go back home. That way I can properly come back again with the correct tactics. There is no need for sympathy: I am not dishonest. However, if you find me to be a threat - without question - I'll follow your lead."

"If we can confirm that you are of no danger, we would send you back home," answered Kamlong honestly, "but the embargo won't allow that anymore, you know. If you came just now like Yulin said, you arrived on the last group of ships that traded with Japan. You might not see your home country in a long time."
Despite being from the opposite country, the 'prince' was certainly polite and refined. If it was an act, it was a very convincing one, and not even he could see through it. If it wasn't, then everything Kamlong said still applied. They could do nothing for this man. Even if they could do the impossible and acquire an opportunity for an audience with the emperor, it was highly doubtful the ruler would even grant it. From what Kamlong knew, Kamying was set on this war.

Akihito's face suddenly became troubled by the news. Everything happened so quickly. Two countries at peace now suddenly collided. His country was gaining rather large amounts of trouble and he couldn't be there to help out when needed most. If what Sze spoke of was true, how was it possible for the negotiation? He would have had to get back somehow. Unless Kamying's plan was to take his life on spot, what if Kamying was the one who sent out the assassin?
From the look on Akihito's face one could tell he was in deep-thought. Suddenly he repressed his troubled emotions and bowed his head again to Kamlong. "Thank you for your honesty. From the looks of it I am trapped and have no where to go. Meaning my life is now wagered someone's decision. Certainly not mine, I have no say."
