"Four," Shikang repeated while his eyes shifted to the side in thought, "that means we're one person short to request a guard change." He walked forward and past Xue, almost like he was about to go off on his own. "My second idea consists of making another distraction, but it would have to be a big one," since his back faced the two no one could see his troubled expression.

Xiaoszi bit his bottom lip, fiddling with the short hair at his nape as he was wont to do while in thought. "Do...any of you have a dress by any chance?"

"Dress?" Xue blinked at his companion. "Why would I carry something like that around with me? Anyways, distraction... I don't know what I could do, but I'd be happy to help in some way!"

Shikang caught onto Xiao's idea and he slowly turned around to give a somewhat mischievous smile. "I bought my sister a dress before enrolling. She wanted something from town. We could use that," his voice was calm, however. Still it was a great idea to have a female-figure in the army (someone who wasn't Yulin). Everyone would be distracted with that, no doubt.

Xiao grinned at Shikang, hearing the understanding in his words. He clamped his hands on to Xue from behind and chirped, "Well, I'll be counting on you then! Let's go get that dress! I know of just the perfect distraction!" Without waiting for much of a response, he pushed his shorter teammate in the direction of their tent.
Five minutes later, he stepped back and surveyed his work. "Not bad at all!" he said, proudly. "This is perfect."

As Xiao tugged him out of the tent, Xue stared down at himself in horror, his face matching the vibrant red silk of the dress. "Th-Th-Th-This isn't going to work, he stammered, trying to sink back into the tent. "I don't look like a girl at all!"

"Ah, I know why," Shikang said quietly to himself while he grabbed Xue towards himself. He ruffled Xue's hair together before tying it all behind with one of his sister's hair pieces. After that was done he heartlessly pushed Xue back outside the tent. "Now you do," he said as an exception towards the plan.

"Good idea!" Xiao praised, taking Xue by the hand and spinning the boy around. "Wouldn't be able to tell the difference if I didn't know better!" He grabbed the smaller soldier by the arm and began to drag him off, offering no opportunities for escape whatsoever. "Now then, Xue, where did you say the tent was?"

"Over there," Xue said weakly, pointing. "B-B-But, what do I do? I can't... f-f-f-flirt with people or anything..."

Shikang followed after the two until Xue pointed out the tent. He noted the guards and then turned to Xue. "If you can't flirt, or don't want to .. just look in distress. Like you're being chased, I am sure all four of them will run after you."

"Y'might have to run 'round the tent once to catch all of their attentions though!" supplied Xiao very helpfully. "And y'gotta run fast enough so that they don't recognize you! Unless they're weird like that...and they chase you even recog-...well, that's not what's important!" He was happily leading the three of them towards aforementioned tent, pace relentless. "Just make sure that after y'lose 'em, run back to us before they figure out what's going on!"
They came to a stop behind an adjacent tent. Xiao leaned over and peered around the corner. "Okay," he whispered, and it was probably the only time he had ever spoken so quietly, "Coast is clear." He pulled Xue ahead of him and pushed him into the open. "Run for your life!"

Xue stumbled forward, squeaking sufficiently loud enough to get the guards' attention. He stood frozen for a long moment as their eyes roved up and down his figure, not getting a chance to rest on his face before he broke into a run. Looping around the tent once, he took off towards the other side of the compound like his life depended on it.
To his absolute horror, he was not only trailed by the four guards, but by several of Sze's men, whose attention he caught when screaming for Shikang and Xiao to save him.

Shikang took his place next to Xiao, looking over the tent when Xue was pushed out. He started to worry when the kid had frozen but it took some time before Xue broke out into the run. Leaning over more he watched the four guards leave their posts and watched the rest of the camp conform to the activity. Almost like a mass hysteria. "Amusing," he said without actually expressing the emotion. "All right, lets do this." Shikang said while stepping out from their post.

Xiao stopped waving at the smoke Xue and his chasers left behind, and looked over his shoulder to nod at Shikang. "Yeah, let's go!"
The tent itself was nothing special. If it weren't for the guards, they probably wouldn't have noticed it at all. Xiao paused in front of the entrance, wondering if he should knock, or say something to announce their presence. Ultimately, he settled for, "We're comin' in!", though he wondered if the Japanese captive could understand it at all. It's the thought that counts, he assured himself.
He stepped in first, lifting the canvas flap over his head, and blinked at the inside, bewildered. It was furnished quite thoroughly for a captive, that was for sure. There was a bed roll laid out, and a small table with the remains of a half-eaten meal resting on it - the same fare the soldiers had been served, he recognized. The inhabitant looked up when they entered, his only restraint being the rope that tied his hands together.

Shikang allowed Xiao to take the lead, just in case there was someone else in the tent other than the captive. Because if it happened that way he would explain they were checking to see if the camp was in order since the rest followed up in the mass hysteria. Fortunately, no one else resided in the tent. Standing off to Xiao's side he stared at the stranger in interest. The tent was much nicer then theirs, yes. Mission accomplished, they got to see the captive.
