Xue knew they were going to get left behind.
"ComeoncomeoncomeoncomeON!" Xue fretted, bouncing on his heels as he looked back and forth between his teammates, and the rapidly dispersing recruits. The morning had finally come, and despite Xue's best efforts to plan ahead, all three of them had overslept. "They're leaving without us! We have to get going now!"

The mass that was most likely Xiaoszi twitched, but dashed all other hopes of his timeliness by rolling over, pulling the blanket over his head and muttering, "Give me five more minutes, squirt." At least, that's what he meant to say. What came out of his mouth sounded a little more like, "Gheemfmmmert."

Shikang figured he had overslept due to Xiao had finally went silent, and when there was silence there was sleep. Although he was up and ready, eyeing Xue while he fretted. He wasn't too worried, they had packed the previous night - all they had now was to head out. Noticing Xiao wasn't going to move, he kneeled down and moved his arms around the kid, lifting him up and placing him on his feet. Shikang kept the blanket wrapped around Xiao's head, figuring that would irk the kid's attention.

Xue smiled quickly at Shikang before picking up everything he could, grabbing some of Xiao's things too in his hurry. He was grateful for all the training he'd done; when he'd first arrived, he probably wouldn't have had the arm strength for that. "Get UP, Xiao!" In a split-second of bravery, Xue nudged Xiao in the ribs with his toes.

If there was a feat you couldn't put past Xiao, it was the perfected ability to sleep while standing up. After being bodily lifted up, he teetered in place, blanket and all, brain still too sleep-fogged and dysfunctional to even register the fact that he was now vertical. If his instinctually sense of balance had been a bit more lacking, he would've fallen right over. It wasn't until he began running out of air that he began to stir, and the jab in the ribs finished the trick.
"UGH, what IS THIS?!" he yelled, though it was muffled by the layers of material choking him. He did fall over this time, right on to his back, as he tugged himself free. "That," he said, panting and hair all over the place, "was fully uncalled for, y'know."

Shikang watched struggling form beneath the blanket, pondering whether or not he should help. He decided against it, watching his team mate topple over on his back. Once Xiao got out of the mess, Shikang stood over him and looked down at him with a slight-smile. "Either way, it got the job done," he had an accomplished look.

"It doesn't matter, just c'mon!" Xue urged, awkwardly pushing open the tent flap. When Xiao still looked petulant, Xue sighed. "Fine. If you hurry up, dinner's my treat tonight."

Xiao scowled as menacingly as he could with a head that looked like he had just emerged from a typhoon, and got to his feet, shoving Shikang away for good measure. He began to sluggishly gather up his things, throwing them in a coarse bag that he eventually slung over his shoulder. "Nice try at persuasion there, squirt," he said, turning to Xue and smirking. "But we all know that we're gonna be on the road all day today."

Shikang took a few steps backwards, going with the push instead of trying to fight it. Xiao was usually the only one who had really gotten upset with him, and he was fine by that. Opposing forces in a team could come out as handy. Shikang finally picked up his things, shaking his head at Xue.

"... the whole day?" Xue echoed, looking back and forth between his teammates. "Without stopping at all?" Finally growing uncomfortable at the weight of the bags, Xue handed Xiao the ones that belonged to him.

"Probably not!" Xiao said cheerfully, accepting the bags gratefully. He had the least possessions out of the three of them, but he was the messiest. Though packed, they had been scattered everywhere, so the help was much appreciated. "It's not like we've got a lot of time to spare, anyway. Personally, I wanna get to another stable campsite as soon as possible. Walkin' is way too boring."
That being said, he walked to the exit and lifted the flap. "Ah, everyone's already gathered," he observed, before turning back. "Let's take down the tent!"

Shikang stepped out after Xiao, waiting for Xue to exit the tent. All they needed to do was cut down the robe, let the canvas cave and remove the poles. The simplest part of it. Although he wondered if Xiao knew they were getting closer to enemy territory, and the next camp, maybe not be just as nice.

Naia was infinitely glad to get moving. Not only was he beginning to grow bored with the regular schedule of training and sleeping, but opportunities to hide and listen were few and far between. He hoped desperately that they'd soon arrive somewhere with more cover than canvas tents, as concealing himself in their current location was impossible. So far, he had no information useful to his employer other than the location they were moving towards, and that was hardly difficult for anyone in Japan to ascertain.
The soldiers from General Rie's camp were moving in a series of lines, passing through the other camps. He'd stayed away from General Sze's side of the camp as of late - always showing up there had no doubt looked suspicious - but the line wound through it on its way, and as he walked with his bedroll and possesions hefted onto his shoulders, he spotted some familiar faces.
"Xue?" he called with a precarious wave of one hand that nearly sent his belongings tumbling down from his back. "Ready to go?"

"Oh, Jun!" Xue waved, losing one of his bags as he tried to hold them up, wave, and dismantle a tent pole at the same time. "Good morning! We're just about ready... bit of a late start."

Xiao looked up at the voice and rolled his eyes. Xie Jun seemed to have been born with the odd ability to show up everywhere. He turned his attention back to the task at hand, gathering the poles as they finished pulling them out of the ground. It was an easier task than he had expected. Since it had not rained in a few days, the ground was once again dry and sandy. The dirt gave little to no resistance when they uprooted the wood. The rest of the job was much easier work than when they had set it up.
Xiao gathered the poles, leaving the canvas for Shikang to handle. "I'll go place these in the cart with everyone else's first!" he called, looping the string of his bags over his shoulder and dragging aforementioned sticks towards the central area.
