"I...suppose," Seyfi said, shrugging. Though fear really didn't factor in; if anything, just the hope of a kindred spirit to talk to. Slight intimidation, maybe, initally..but.
"Leave?" he repeated. Good question. "Well..I suppose, one day, yes. But I have not planned on it anytime soon, though with the way things are looking..I might not have a choice to stay or not."
He smiled a bit morosely at the thought; it wasn't unthinkable--if things did get bad, it wouldn't surprise him if he was forced to leave. That's just how things worked.
"But," he said on a lighter tone, "for now, I won't be going anywhere. This place has been very good to me."

So, out of all places Japan had been good? It sounded very reasonable. Maybe those other places strived on things he couldn't understand or maybe he didn't want to. Moving quickly to Seyfi's side, his right hand held out to the man. He was offering his hand to help the other up on his feet. Didn't it bother him to be kneeling that way while facing him to talk? When he was this close he flashed Seyfi a grin. Silence.

Seyfi smiled, reaching up and grabbing the hand offered, getting to his feet. Looking down at the hands, the pale white and the dark brown, and found something interesting about that. Letting go and shrugging his shoulders a bit.
"Well, if you are hungry, I can get a plate for you. If not..ehh...well, at least have something to drink, please."
He reached down and grabbed the taper, heading out of the room to leave the paintings to darkness as he stepped into another, modestly lit room furnished with a long table that sat low to the ground, encircled by blankets and coushins of varying colors. Brightly colored tapestries hung from the walls, and a stack of books and scrolls sat piled up in a corner, peaked by a handful of inkwells and quills. It's where Seyfi spent most of his time when he wasn't downstairs working. He'd already had bread and exotic fruit set on the table, but there was no sign of meat or utensils.
"Hopefully you are not, ehh..too hungry for something cooked; I was having no time to do so."

Likewise he followed Seyfi to the other room, amazed how the room was set up. It was nicely decorated and compared to his bare home anyone would think the foreigner had lofted in the riches. Everything was so bright compared to the usual colors he seen. "Mn, I have no appetite but a drink I can accept," often times he didn't like having meals around people; no matter how well he took to it. The book was, however, still tucked under one of his arms.
"I like this room as well," he seemed to like a lot of things here. Kyo almost felt bad because of it, he was a sucker for material possessions because he used them in place of people. Suddenly his free-hand lifted and his fingers curled around the gray scarf, bringing it down so it unraveled and hung over his shoulders. Because of the movements the longer part of his hair fell to rest gently against his cheeks.

"Please, sit where ever you wish," Seyfi gestured as he went over to a higher-set table in a corner of the room. Collecting two glasses and the unmarked bottle that were arranged there, he then moved over and sat down at the low-set table.
"Hopefully this is to your liking..is from Europe, and is pretty much the only thing I am looking forward to seeing shipped in again," he chuckled, pouring the drink. Carefully at that; red wine sometimes ended up being the highlight of his most boring days, and it was not often he would have it available. The sake that was so abundant did not appeal to him at all--as for most things derived from rice.
Sliding the glass over to Kyo, he said lightly, "Just do not be drinking it so fast, yes?"
Not that he took his own advice or anything; once his own glass was filled, a good portion disappeared shortly after. Nothing made conversation better than a decent drink, and he had a sense that his guest was, at the least, a bit curious to speak.
"What were you doing wandering around so late?" Seyfi asked him.

Kyo moved himself to take a seat across from Seyfi. Instead of sitting like normal people would with their legs crossed and what not, he sat on his knees in the same old position. Slowly he set the book onto the table before watching the glass filled with the red liquid be pushed towards him. Vaguely, it reminded him of blood, but not so thick. With his right hand he took the glass and lifted it to his mouth. He took a small sip of the wine and was surprised how it felt dried on the tip of his tongue.
Once he was done trying it he tipped the glass away from himself, while still holding up. And with the tripped glasses he craned his head. Hearing Seyfi's question his eyes flickered up and he gave the other a smile. "At night there really is no place to go, but for some reason people like to adventure out at night for the most horrifying reasons. And those people, who are willing to throw away his families lives .. well they're put to a stop, but someone has to do it - to end it. But I always wander with a reason," once he was done speaking he took another sip of the wine.
Blinking his eyes he decided to explain himself. "I guess you were in my path of wandering."

"I see," he said quietly. A vigilante of sorts...It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Isn't he a little young for such a thing..? Getting into the harsh details of that did not really appeal to Seyfi; leastaways not at the moment. This turn in the conversation left him with little to bring up, or anything he wanted to, so he filled that vacant silence up by taking another drink.
"I suppose you have your reasons," he managed to come up with, having to clear his throat a bit, shrugging.

Since there was nothing to really branch off of the conversation, he continued to take small sips of the wine before setting the glass down to take a break. He didn't want to get addicted to alcohol, and he would if he kept up with his pace of drinking. Finally he set his hands on the table, the sleeves resting on his wrists while he tapped his fingers over the table. No, this posture wouldn't do. Instead he propped his elbows up on the table and rested his cheeks into his open palms. Now the sleeves were hanging at his elbows, the bracelets showing again.
His stare was still on the other male, but his gaze was lustrous and demanding. "Have to make a living some how," he said quietly, even though his posture was aggressive.

"That is true," Seyfi said slowly, setting his empty glass down carefully. Watching Kyo shift about, a bit unnerved by the piercing stare, he redirected his attention to the gold around his guest's wrists.
Nodding at them, he asked, "Any special story behind those? They are nicely crafted."

Seeing the man's eyes trail to the bracelets he moved his wrist forward and hung his arm at a vertical position so the other could get a better look at them. Both were thin but the pair seemed to be connected, and yes, identical. There was a black marking on the side and he moved his hand to the left so they would make an interesting jingle. He had been with them so long he never heard the noise unless he forced it to happen. "They were my wife's bracelets at one point in time," he said nonchalantly, eyes still locked on Seyfi.
"The story of why they are mine now would also answer the question: were? Yes, were. She's dead now, just like the rest of them," at this point his voice gained emotion, a vigorous amusement.

The way Kyo spoke of such a thing..it troubled Seyfi. Then again, this fellow was speaking of reaping souls or whatnot earlier; why did it not bother him? And his wife, no less...
Seyfi almost unconsciously started refilling his own glass, kind of a response to the origins of the bracelets. He wanted to offer his condolences, but he assumed that it would not be received well enough. He took another drink; finishing off what he had just poured, even if it did sting a bit going down.
"Rest of them," he echoed, looking down at his empty glass. "I am assuming there were others that died.."

At last his arm rested back on the table, a grin widening to his face when he noticed the hectic movements for more of the drink. He saw many men do this when they were troubled; drown themselves into another world where they no longer possessed the right of 'common sense'. Maybe Seyfi himself could be taken advantage of, which is if he sunk to that state of mind. "Yeah, her lover also died. And not to mention the servant, and even that little girl.." he was recollecting the memories and putting them into words, not even remorse could be detected by it.
"I never really got the chance to lover her like wives are meant to be loved, it's impossible to love anything as deceptive as her. But I took the bracelets because it's probably the biggest lesson I learned," his eyes were searching Seyfi's face. "The lesson of trust.."

He grimaced a little, folding his hands on the table, shaking his head. "An awful story," he said. "I am sorry it happened; it must not have been easy..."
Looking back up at Kyo, he tried to force a bit of an empathetic smile. From the looks of it, at least his guest was getting some entertainment out of this. Such a shift of attitude was perplexing. Still..it seemed like life had dealt this fellow some difficult times in which to endure. He hadn't ever met or heard of anyone who didn't have negative effects come from death, anyway..perhaps this behavior was just a way to protect him.
Rubbing his shoulder a bit, he worked on laughing off his unease, looking away. "I am afraid I am not very good at talking of such things," he admitted.

Solitude. Kyo at this very moment realized how much he missed being alone and how awful and sad it was to be around someone again. He thought he missed the company, but someone like him didn't deserve to be graced with anyone's presence. He wasn't feeling sorry for himself, instead he was searching the facts. All in all he shouldn't have told Seyfi about the bracelets .. though he asked and it would've had to be mentioned. Slowly his composure left of all emotions and his right elbow propped up so the side of his face could rest in the midst of his open palm. Even his hard gaze slowly drifted down to the table.
"Most aren't, no worries," he said quietly. Kyo had to give credit to Seyfi for even listening to him but when it came down to the results, he really should be alone.

"You seem to be a strong person," he said mildly; a pensive, but patient expression overtaking his face. Typical fool, he had almost sunken into another self-centered mood, and with company. "It is admirable; men twice your age are not as insightful as you seem to be, either."
Like myself he thought to himself; half the time I am not knowing what he is takling of.
He glanced down at his glass for a moment, then slid it down the side of the table, away from him. If he couldn't completely follow Kyo's train of thought sober, that stuff would not improve things.
